Frequently Asked Questions
If you don’t find what you’re looking for, you can contact me directly with any questions.
What is your pricing?
My pricing can be found here on the site under the services tab.
Are consultations free?
Yes!
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancelling or rescheduling an appointment must be done within 24 hours. If an appointment is not cancelled within 24 hours, the client will be responsible for payment for the full price of the originally scheduled appointment. Any exceptions will come at my discretion.
What happens if I am late to my appointment?
If you are late, you will still be charged for the full session’s price that was scheduled. Additionally, the session will terminate at the originally scheduled time to help me stay on time and accommodate my other clients.
What should I wear to my appointment?
I recommend wearing comfortable clothing that you can easily move in.
Will I need to fully undress for my session?
For Swedish massage and/or a treatment goal of relaxation, it is recommended that you undress to your level of comfort. If you feel most comfortable leaving your underwear on, that is ok! For Therapeutic work, if a certain area is the target, for optimal results, I recommend having direct skin to skin contact with your muscle groups in that area. The comfort level of the client will always be respected, and verbal consent gained prior to treatment. Reproductive genitalia are never exposed or treated.
Of note, Craniosacral is a fully clothed modality.
I will give you instructions on how to lay on the massage table, ask you to undress to your level of comfort, and then leave the room to give you privacy. Any sexual advances will be cause for immediate termination of the session and full payment will be required.
Can I talk during my session?
Your massage appointment is your time for relaxation. If you would prefer to not talk during your session, I am completely comfortable with this. Please know that I will verbally check in with you occasionally to ensure your continued comfort. If you would like to talk, I am happy to conversate as much as you are wanting to. Keep in mind that I am not a licensed in psychology or mental health therapy.
How often should I get a massage?
This differs from client to client. I recommend that you listen to your body and schedule as frequently, or infrequently, as your body needs.
Are there times that I should NOT get a massage?
If you are experiencing any symptoms of sickness or infection, I will not give you treatment and you will need to reschedule your appointment. If you are experiencing potentially life-threatening signs or symptoms, please visit the ER or urgent care for medical attention. I do not treat or work with acute injuries. Please update myself with any changes in your health prior to your session.
Do you accept insurance or work with insurance claims?
No, I do not.
Should I shower before my session?
If you would like to shower prior - feel free to! However, it is not required. If someone has noticeably dirty parts of the body, ie. hands or feet, I may opt to not work those areas with skin-to-skin contact.
What happens if I am ticklish?
Please let me know if you have any areas that are prone to being ticklish. I can work those areas slowly and with deeper pressure. If it is too sensitive of an area, please let me know and I am happy to adjust and accommodate.
